PVB laminated glass bonds two or more glass plies with a polyvinyl butyral interlayer.
Reference build-ups: 3 + 0.38 PVB + 3 = 6.38 mm; 4 + 0.76 PVB + 4 = 8.76 mm.
Additional examples: 5 + 0.76 PVB + 5 = 10.76 mm; 6 + 1.52 PVB + 6 = 13.52 mm.
PVB reference thickness: 0.38 / 0.76 / 1.14 / 1.52 mm.

Reference build-ups: 3 + 0.38 PVB + 3 = 6.38 mm; 4 + 0.76 PVB + 4 = 8.76 mm. State each pane and each interlayer, not only total thickness.
Additional examples: 5 + 0.76 PVB + 5 = 10.76 mm; 6 + 1.52 PVB + 6 = 13.52 mm. Examples for technical review; glass heat treatment must be specified.
PVB reference thickness: 0.38 / 0.76 / 1.14 / 1.52 mm. Confirm grade, colour and the required performance.
Glass choices: Clear, low-iron or tinted; annealed or tempered as specified. Check substrate and interlayer compatibility.
Reference sheet formats: 1830 × 2440 or 2134 × 3300 mm. Discuss sheet supply versus finished cut-to-size panels; confirm availability.
PVB laminated glass bonds two or more glass plies with a polyvinyl butyral interlayer. The bonded construction can help retain fragments after breakage, while the selected glass and interlayer determine its actual performance. Globalstar Glass supplies project-specific combinations for glazing distributors, processors and architectural buyers; ordinary lamination is not automatically ballistic, hurricane or structural-barrier glazing.

The same overall thickness can be produced by different combinations. A 6 + 0.76 + 6 panel is not the same specification as a different ply arrangement with similar nominal thickness. Include pane heat treatment, interlayer type and colour, and the intended installation when requesting a quotation.
Workshop processing includes preparation, washing, clean assembly, interlayer placement and the selected bonding route. PVB processing uses the appropriate pre-bonding and autoclave stages. Inspection focuses on alignment, edge finish, bubbles, visible inclusions and the agreed appearance and performance requirements.
Windows, doors, partitions and other assemblies can require different properties. Acoustic, solar, impact and post-breakage values must be supported by the actual product or assembly data. Exposed edges and sealant contact require compatibility review, especially in damp or exterior conditions.
The factory has two lamination lines. Workshop records give an indicative planning range of about 1–1.5 containers per shift for some laminated orders; container loading, glass build-up, pane size and processing determine actual output. Confirm the current production and packing schedule for each batch.
Discuss dry protective separators, edge protection, moisture protection and crate or rack support. Keep glass build-up, batch and size labels traceable. Large sheet formats and finished polished panels may require different handling and packing.
Send each pane thickness, heat treatment, interlayer grade and thickness, finished sizes, quantities, edge treatment, application, target requirements, destination and timing.
Send your specifications to Globalstar Glass for technical and commercial review.

The interlayer can retain fragments, but residual behaviour depends on the build-up, support and damage. Do not assume continued safe use without assessment.
It describes two 6 mm glass plies with a nominal 0.76 mm PVB interlayer, giving a nominal total of 12.76 mm.
Only when the glass plies are specified as tempered. Lamination and tempering are separate processes.
